El Al and LOT Polish Airlines signed a new code-sharing agreement this week. The agreement was signed by the CEOs of each airline, Gonen Usishkin from EL AL and Rafal Milczarski from LOT.
“The new code-sharing agreement with LOT allows El Al to expand the schedule we offer to our loyal customers to Poland and to the region,” said Usishkin. “The strengthening of ties between Israel and Poland includes tourism, heritage, business and much more, and now our two national airlines are there to lead the way in this expanding relationship,” he added.
The agreement starts Thursday and will include the flights operated by both airlines on the route between Warsaw and Tel Aviv, where LOT will place its code on the El Al flights, with El Al placing its code on the LOT flights. El Al will place its code on various LOT flights to Tel Aviv from Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Lublin and Rzesow.
