For second time in a week, man murders his wife and calls police to report slaying
Husband, age 37, confesses to murdering his 31-year-old wife, but does not give a motive.

For the second time in less than a week, a man in central Israel murdered his wife in front of his children, before calling police to report the crime.Tel Aviv police said Thursday that at around 3 a.m. they received a call from a man who told the operator he had just murdered his wife and asked to send officers to their home on Mivtza Sinai Street in Bat Yam. When police arrived they found the woman lying stabbed to death on the floor of the apartment.Inside the apartment were the couple’s two children – aged 10 and 4 – who were taken into custody by social workers. Police suspect they may have witnessed their mother’s slaying.Police said the husband, aged 37, confessed to murdering his 31-year-old wife, but did not give a motive.He was arrested at the scene and was to be taken for a remand extension on Thursday in Tel Aviv.Police said the couple has no record of domestic violence nor any prior complaints filed by the wife.Last Saturday, a similar scene unfolded in Petah Tikva, when a local man called police to report that he had just murdered his wife at their home on Rothschild Boulevard in the city. At the time of the murder, the couple’s fiveyear- old son was home.The husband, Gabriel Kesimov, 37, and his wife Irina Bongart, 30, also did not have a record of complaints or domestic violence.
