Four IDF soldiers were airlifted to hospital in moderate-to-serious condition on Friday after the jeep in which they were driving near the Dead Sea overturned.
Two soldiers are listed in serious condition, while the other two suffered moderate injuries.
The accident occurred along Route 90 near the West Bank settlement of Metzukei Dargot.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and administered first aid to the injured. Shortly afterward, helicopters used by the elite 669 rescue unit were summoned to evacuate the injured to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem.
The soldiers were on patrol duty when investigators believe that their vehicle strayed off the roadway and fell into a ditch 50 meters deep. The families of the soldiers have been notified, and the circumstances of the accident are being investigated by authorities.
