Head of Kiryat Ye'arim local council Rabbi Avraham Rozenthal [Degel Hatorah] died unexpectedly during Thursday night from a cardiac arrest, he was 71 years old, he is survived by his wife and three children. Emergency medical services were dispatched to his residence on Friday at roughly 2 a.m, the medics attempted to resuscitate him for 50 minutes yet despite their best effort he was pronounced dead. Rozenthal lived in Kiryat Ye'arim, a Haredi local council in the district of Jerusalem near Abu Gush, for 40 years and served as local council leader for four terms.
