IDF announces new brigade commanders

Changes also due in command level of IDF’s main training centers.

The IDF announced this week a series of new appointments of commanders who will take charge of infantry brigades, as well as a reshuffle of other senior officers within the army.
According to the changes, which await the final approval of Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, Col. Nimrod Aloni will become head of Paratroopers infantry brigade, and Col.
Guy Hazot will become head of the Kfir infantry brigade.
Col. Yaron Finkelman will become the new commander of the Givati infantry brigade, and Col. Amos Hacohen will become head of the Nahal infantry brigade.
Changes are also due in the command level of the IDF’s main training centers.
Col. Amir Epstein will head the Armored Corps school, and Col. Yaniv Alaluf will become commander of Training Base 1. Col. Eran Karisi will become commander of the Engineering Corps school, and Col. Amit Fisher will become head of the Infantry Corps school.
In further appointments, officers at rank of colonel will be promoted to the rank of brigadier-general. These include the naming of Col.
Rafi Miloa as head of the Adom Formation, the 80th territorial division, a part of the Southern Command.
