Reggae superstar J Balvin will be performing in Israel this summer at the annual Coca-Cola WOW Festival in the Rishon Lezion Live Park.
Balvin, who just headlined a set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, will be performing in Israel on July 30.
“Hey Tel Aviv, Israel,” the singer said in a video message to fans. “See you July 30, so be ready Latino gang!”
The Colombian singer is responsible for a series of smash dance hits, and has released five Spanish-language albums. His biggest hit, “Mi Gente,” has been viewed more than 2.3 billion times on YouTube. His other popular songs include “Ay Vamos,” “6 AM” and “Safari.” Last year, Balvin collaborated on the song “I Like It’ with Cardi B, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 list. He has also worked with Pharrell, Sean Paul, Pitbull, David Guetta, One Direction’s Liam Payne and more.
Balvin, whose full name is Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin, made his debut in Israel in 2017 at a concert in the Ra’anana Amphitheater. And earlier this year he collaborated with Israeli pop duo Static and Ben-El on an English version of their hit song “Tudo Bom.” Last year, the first-ever Coca-Cola WOW Festival featured Jason Derulo. Balvin will headline this year’s event and be joined by a lineup of Israeli artists and DJs.
Tickets for the festival are distributed entirely to 16-18 year-old Israelis who participate in a range of volunteer programs leading up to the show.
