Fireworks were due to fly on Wednesday evening as the US Embassy in Tel Aviv was hosting a celebratory event to mark America's upcoming Independence Day.The Fourth of July festivities being held at the ambassador's residence in Herzliya, come a few days before the holiday as it lands this year on Shabbat.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin and US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro were set to give keynote speeches at the red-white-and-blue jubilee.
