Millions stand in silence during Remembrance siren - watch

Millions of Israelis across the country stood in silence, heads bowed during the two-minute siren that sounded on Wednesday morning during Remembrance Day as the the for fallen IDF soldiers and victims of terror was commemorated.
Some 23,741 Israeli soldiers have fallen fighting for the State of Israel since 1865, while 3,150 civilians have been killed in terrorist attacks across the country. In Jerusalem, as well as in ceremonies in cemeteries around the country, including Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, Kiriyat Shaul Military Cemetery in north Tel Aviv and the Nahalat Yitshak Military Cemetery in Givatayim.
Thousands visited military cememtries to pay their respects to fallen soldiers and victims of terror, while several ceremonies also took place across the country.
Some 56 IDF soldiers who died over the last year have been added to the list of fallen soldiers to be commemorated for Yom Hazikaron this year, the Defense Ministry announced on Friday.
In addition, another 40 IDF veterans who died as a result of disabilities and injuries over the past year were also added to the list, the ministry said.
