Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhau is "worshipped" by regional leaders, claimed Communications Minister Ayoob Kara during a Friday shabbat service held in New York City with the Israeli leader, his wife Sara, Culture Minister Miri Regev and singer Shiri Maimon.A video of the event was placed on social media on Saturday by Haaretz reporter Noa Landau.
Israeli minister @ayoobkara talks about attending meetings between @netanyahu & Middle Eastern leaders (in plural) - “some you know of, some you don’t”. @netanyahu replies cynically: “I don’t know which leaders you’re talking about, there’s no such thing” https://t.co/i7ZO8rMNmB
Kara joked that "you know about some of these meetings, and some you don't know about" before saying that "they look upon him in admiration.""It is as if he is their leader," he said, "he is an integral part of how the Middle East functions and without him [things would be] impossible."Kara claimed he could tell the admiration in the body language these unnamed Arab leaders used when in the presence of the Israeli leader. He also claimed that the scope of work achieved by Netanyahu is "beyond topography, humanity, and all that is around Israel."
