Joint List leader Ayman Odeh got in a twitter war with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman on Saturday after the former tried to visit a detained Arab protester and was refused by police. On Saturday Odeh attempted to visit the director of the Mossawa Center Jafar Farah, who is now in hospital after suffering from a leg injury while under Police arrest. After being denied the visit by the policeman guarding Farah, who is still under arrest, Odeh cursed the officer. Farah was arrested on Friday during a pro-Gaza protest in Haifa in which police arrested 21 people.Liberman commented on social media on Sunday that ''such terrorists belong not in the Knesset but in prison'', Odeh took to Twitter on Sunday to respond to Liberman."It's too bad he didn't tweet I'll be in prison in 48 hours", he wrote in irony, "then I would know there is nothing to worry about."
The 48 hours reference is to an earlier statement by Liberman in which the current Defense Minister threatened to kill Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh within 48 hours of assuming office, and then didn't. Liberman responded to Odeh cursing the policeman on Sunday by writing "Every day in which Odeh and his friends walk around free and curse police officers is a failure of the law enforcement authorities."These terrorists belong not in the Knesset but in prison, it is about time they will pay the price for what they are doing," wrote Liberman.
