MK Oren Hazan [Likud] slammed President Reuven Rivlin on Thursday saying that his "old age shames his youth" and that the president had "joined the phony choir of the Left."
Hazan attacked the President after the latter apologized to MK Pnina Tamano-Shata [Yesh Atid] on behalf of Hazan, who called her a "token ole."
Tamano-Shata arrived to Israel from Ethiopia when she was three years old.
Rivlin told her he "feels sorry that there are citizens like that [Hazan]."
"She is a superb MK," Rivlin said of Tamano-Shata, "and I wish to apologize on all of our behalf that there are Israeli citizens who would do that to us."
