Netta Barzilai discovers her roots with MyHeritage

Netta Barzilai has found her roots. The Israeli Eurovision star discovered her back story through MyHeritage.In the first part of the five minute segment, Barzilai discovered her DNA make-up, which is as diverse as her ability to mix music.She knows she has Libyan, Morrocan and Polish roots from her mother and father.However, it's revealed that she is also 1.5% Irish, Scottish, Welsh and 1.7% Baltic.Barzilai was also amazed to discover that she has cousins across the globe who she shares DNA with including the US, Great Britain, France and Germany.The MyHeritage team later visited the home in Poland where her great-grandfather from her fathers side once lived, which is still standing today, as well as old photographs from her grandparents wedding - an uncanny resemblance is noticeable between Netta and her grandmother, and photographs from her mothers family as well includingShe was also presented with a bar of soap from her great-grandfather's soap factory on her mother's side.An ancestor of Barzilai's was also the chief rabbi in Meknes, Morroco. She was shown a picture of him from over 100 years ago.
