Palestinians in east Jerusalem hurl stones, firebombs; One person injured

Dozens of masked Palestinians blocked a roadway and hurled stones and firebombs in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of A-Tur on Saturday night, police said.

Rioters continued to target the light rail in east Jerusalem, as stones were thrown at one of the trains, causing damage to a windshield. There were no injuries reported. Police are scouring the area in search of suspects.
Hundreds of additional police and paramilitary Border Police have been deployed throughout the city as part of authorities’ reinforced efforts to restore quiet in the capital.
