A man from the Galilee village of Shibli is suspected of stabbing his mother to death at their family home on Saturday, Northern District Police said."Family members [of the deceased] took us from the entrance of the house to a room inside where a 49-year-old woman was critically injured with signs of serious violence across her upper body," Magen David Adom paramedic Nati Liani said Saturday afternoon.He added that the house was full of people and had become unruly, and that paramedics began giving the woman first aid while they evacuated her to an area hospital. While en route to the hospital, her condition deteriorated and paramedics had no choice but to rule her dead, Liani said.Police said the woman's son was caught not long after the murder, hiding out in a village near Shibli.They added that the woman's body will be taken for an autopsy at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv.
