The United Nations special investigator into Israeli violations against the Palestinians Michael Lynk delivers today his first report since taking office earlier this year.
In a presentation to the UN’s Third Committee in New York he is expected to slam Israel for its actions Gaza and the West Bank, particularly settlement building and what he terms “excessive use of force” against Palestinians.
Lynk will call on Israel to “end the blockade of Gaza” and lift restrictions on imports and exports into the Strip..
He is expected to also call on Israel to withdraw to the pre-1967 lines and stop the practice of demolishing structures in Palestinian Beduin communities.
