Head of the New Right party and Education Minister Naftali Bennett revealed to party insiders that his plan for securing voters in the upcoming April 9 election is to take them from the Yesh Atid Party, headed by Yair Lapid, and Israel Resilience Party, a new party headed by Benny Gantz.
According to a report by Yisrael Hayom, Bennett said, "This is a change in how we do things. In recent years, there was no attempt to take votes between the [right and left] blocks, only [to compete] within our own block. We will do things differently."
The report suggests that Bennett is aiming his efforts not against Likud and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - the Likud party continues to lead in polls - but against center and left parties.
