Sand storm sweeps Israeli south, wild fire hits a Druze village in north

Police urged drivers to travel with extreme care and in accordance with road conditions.

Strong winds accompanied by a sandstorm struck an area of Route 90 near Ein Hatzeva in the south of Israel on Tuesday, according to police.
Police urged drivers to travel with extreme care and in accordance with road conditions.
Meanwhile, fields caught on fire in northern Israel, at the exit of Daliyat el-Carmel, a Druse village near Haifa. Firefighters are on the scene. Their focus is to curb the fire and prevent its spread, according to a police spokesman in the Ayalon region.
The fire has not yet threatened houses in the village.
