Israelis were pleasantly surprised at Sunday's 0-0 draw with Wales in their Euro 2016 soccer match, but according to one sports writer, witchcraft was the real reason behind Wales player Gareth Bale's missed free kick.

The video shows Israel's Tal Ben-Haim making some questionable gestures at the ball, as Bale prepares to take his kick, before it goes flying over the goalpost. But the Real Madrid forward need not take any flack for the blunder, as black magic is a stronger force than even the best of soccer skills, particularly when it's Israeli. Should Ben-Haim be trying out for Harry Potter's Quidditch team instead? Perhaps - but the Israeli soccer team will hold on to him for the time being, since his alleged wizarding skills garnered it a precious point in its endeavor to qualify for Euro 2016.
