Despite the Shin Bet’s objection, the Israel Sailing Association (ISA) decided on Sunday that it will send Ma’ayan Davidovich, Shahar Zubari and Nimrod Mashiah to next week’s world windsurfing championships in Oman, assuming they are reissued new visas.The ISA had notified the organizers last week that the Israeli delegation will not take part in the championships due to security concerns raised by the Shin Bet, resulting in the cancellation of the visas. The ISA backtracked a day later and is hoping that new visas can be reissued in time for the championships, which start next Monday in the Muslim Sultanate.Meanwhile, the 470 Class world championships get underway in Haifa on Monday. Israel’s men’s and women’s teams are both targeting Olympic qualification in Haifa.
