Jerusalem grabs dramatic win at home

Reigning BSL champion Hapoel Jerusalem took a major step toward the semifinals late Sunday night with a thrilling 107-105 overtime victory over Hapoel Gilboa/Galil in Game 3 of their quarterfinals series.
Oded Katash’s team was forced to sweat after Gilboa/Galil overturned a 19-point deficit, but Jerusalem eventually pulled it out for a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series and is now only one victory from sixth straight trip to the Final Four.
Richard Howell led Jerusalem with 24 points, nine rebounds and four steals, while Ronald Roberts added 16 points and Bar Timor 15. For Gilboa, Zach LeDay had a gamehigh 29 points and eight rebounds, Elijah Johnson netted 26 points and DeAngelo Harrison scored 19 points in defeat.
Hapoel Holon also took a 2-1 lead in its lasteight series with Hapoel Eilat with an 87-81 home triumph.
