Hapoel Gilboa/Galil continued its surprise season with another impressive victory on Saturday night, beating Hapoel Jerusalem 90-86 on the road for its sixth straight win.Gilboa entered the campaign with little expectations with a collection of young and largely unproven players, but has flourished under the guidance of coach Ariel Beit-Halachmi, improving to a 15-12 record with Saturday win.Jerusalem had won six of its previous seven games and looked to be on course for another win when it led by 14 points (78-64) with six minutes to play. But Gilboa never lost hope, tying the game with a 14-0 run, with Joaquin Szuchman scoring the go-ahead basket from beyond the arc with 10.6 seconds to play (88-85).D’Angelo Harrison led Gilboa with 34 points, with Zach LeDay finishing with 28 points and eight boards for Gilboa, which extended its longest winning streak since 2013.Tarence Kinsey led five Jerusalem players in double figures with 16 points. Hapoel dropped to a 17-10 record.Also Saturday, Ironi Ness Ziona beat Maccabi Rishon Lezion 101-91.Gary Browne scored 34 points for Ness Ziona, which improved to 11-16.Keith Langford had 26 points for Rishon, which fell to 10-17.On Sunday, Maccabi Ashdod looks to continue its sensational streak when it hosts Maccabi Tel Aviv. The 32-year-old guard will return for his third stint with the club after wearing the yellow-and-blue for the 2010/11 season and the 2014/15 season as well.This season Pargo had played for Nanjing in China where he averaged 22.8 points per game and 6.2 assists per game. He then moved to Golden State’s affiliation G-League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors where he averaged 18.5 points and 11.0 assists in 10 games. Following his G-league experience he moved to Lebanon where he played five games.In his previous stints in Israel he has won two domestic championships the first was with Gilboa/Galil in 2010 and the following year with Maccabi (2011). He also won two state cups with Maccabi and also reached the Euroleague finals game in Barcelona (2011) under the guidance of David Blatt.
