Police units responded to an incident in Tel Aviv Sunday in which vandalists drew anti-Polish slogans onto the entrance of the Polish embassy, according to the police foreign press spokesperson.The graffiti included swastikas and anti-Polish slogans like "Polish same sh*t", "Polish sh*t" and "Polish sh*t murderer go f**k yourselves."An investigation into the matter has been opened and police are searching for the suspects involved.This incident comes a day after controversial comments by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who stated that there were Jewish perpetrators of the Holocaust just as there were Polish ones.Poland sparked heavy international criticism when it passed a law imposing jail terms for suggesting the country was complicit in the deaths of millions of Jews during the war.Morawiecki was asked on Saturday by a reporter whether, under the new law, the reporter himself could be penalized for telling a story in Poland about his mother who survived the Holocaust and told him that some Poles had collaborated with the Gestapo.In his answer, Morawiecki equated "Jewish perpetrators" with Polish perpetrators and others, drawing immediate criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who called Morawiecki's words "outrageous."Reuters contributed to this report.
