Police caught a suspected thief on Sunday because he was drinking on the job.
After a string of thefts in kindergartens in Tel Aviv, where valuable property such as televisions were stolen, police found a bottle they believe the thief left behind at the scene of the crime.
The police lab used the bottle to help identify the suspected thief. Based on their investigation they believe when the burglar broke into the kindergarten he took a drink from the fridge to quench his thirst and left the bottle at the scene of the crime.
"The Israel Police carries out its investigations thoroughly and with all the means at its disposal in order to track offenders who commit criminal offenses that harm the security of the public and its property and will bring the law to their fullest," the Police Spokesperson Unit said in response to the event.
