Undercover agent busts south Jerusalem drug dealers

30 suspects were arrested from Jerusalem, including six residents of east Jerusalem.

An undercover agent working with the Israel Police assisted in the arrests of 30 people suspected of drug trafficking and distribution.
As part of the crack down on crime, police are working to cut-off drug related crimes at the source, with special attention directed at Jerusalem's southern neighborhoods.
In the past few months an undercover agent was deployed in the southern part of the capital and informed on 30 suspects that sold and or distributed drugs.
30 suspects were arrested from Jerusalem, including six residents of east Jerusalem. Israel Border Patrol and Special Patrol Units also raided the homes of the suspects and confiscated drugs worth hundreds of thousands of shekels as well as weapons.
A gag order has been issued to protect the identity of the agent.
