The Israel Air Force welcomed its newest batch of pilots on Thursday in a wing-bearing ceremony for graduating cadets of the IAF's prestigious flight academy course. Officials in attendance at the commemoration at the Hatzerim Airbase base included Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot and IAF Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel. The ceremony marked the completion of a three-year course that encompassed officer's training, pilot's training and an academic degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Beginning next week, the IAF will place the graduates in various Air Force squadrons.
