WATCH: Israelis frolic in the snow on Mount Hermon

Site open to visitors, not yet to skiers.

Mount Hermon, January 9, 2015
Mount Hermon opened to visitors on Saturday, but not yet for skiers, after Israel's highest peak saw snow accumulations over the past day.
Overnight, snow fell on the lower reaches of the Golan Heights mountain and the managers of the site were grooming the slopes for skiing and snowboarding.
Those wishing to visit were advised that the site would remain open subject to weather conditions, which were forecast to be foggy and cloudy on Saturday and partly cloudy on Sunday.
Forty centimeters of snow accumulated at the upper reaches of the mountain and 30 centimeters were piled up at its base.
