A submarine-like sculpture with a sign stating that “with Bibi [Netanyahu] the country goes under” was placed in Habimah Square in Tel Aviv on Saturday morning.
At the bottom of the sign was written, “The Zionist Union, led by Avi Gabbay.”
Several top government officials, included Prime Minister Benjamin Net anyahu’s cousin and former close personal lawyer, David Shimron, were recently charged with bribery and fraud by the police in Case 3000.
This is the second political installation placed in Habimah Square this week.
A statue of Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev by the artist Itai Zlait was placed there on Thursday. The statue depicted Regev wearing a white dress and facing a mirror, with the accompanying text, “In the heart of the nation.”
Regev’s controversial “loyalty bill” passed a vote in the Ministerial Committee on Legislation in late October.
The bill seeks to cut state funding to cultural works or institutions that, among other things, harm or disrespect the symbols of the State of Israel.
