Yaalon slams Netanyahu for ignoring national priorities in agriculture

Ya'alon claimed that due to the government's short-sighted focus on profit and competition in the agriculture sector, the government has adopted "policies that are damaging to farmers," and abandoned one of the building blocks of Zionism.

In one of former defense minister Moshe Ya'alon first public speeches since announcing the creation of his new party and his candidacy in the upcoming elections, he called out Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government for economic policies that harm average Israelis.
Ya'alon claimed that due to the government's short-sighted focus on profit and competition in the agriculture sector, the government has adopted "policies that are damaging to farmers," and abandoned one of the building blocks of Zionism.
"I'm in favor of competition, but we need to think about national priorities," Ya'alon said, "not just about money."
"I propose a leadership of values for the upcoming elections, a leadership that prioritizes the interests of the state of Israel instead of narrow political interests," Ya'alon added.
