The government on Sunday approved a $1.7 million donation by the American Friends of the IDF for the construction of an ultra-modern sports center for an elite undercover Border Police unit, government officials said.
The donation to the police's anti-terror unit was made by the Detroit branch of the American Friends of the IDF.
The Border Police spokesman had no immediate information Sunday about the planned sports center.
