Two Wadi Ara men have been arrested on suspicion of holding dog fights, police said Wednesday.
The arrests were made Tuesday night when a car carrying a wounded American Staffordshire Terrier (Amstaff) was stopped at a police checkpoint outside Umm el-Fahm moments after a vehicle carrying a pit-bull had driven past.
The wounded Amstaff was transferred by the Environmental Protection Ministry to a secure facility for treatment and castration, as is required by law.
