Two young Ariel residents were arrested on Monday on suspicion of attempting to rob a gas station at Kfar Hayarok Junction, near Ra'anana.
The youths allegedly tried to force an attendant at the gas station to open the cash register and fled the scene when the attendant resisted.
The two were detained by police for interrogation and were expected to be remanded in custody later Monday afternoon.
