A blood drive conducted by Ezer Mezion on Wednesday collected samples from 18,000 people, who may be targeted as bone marrow donors if their genetic makeup is found to be compatible with potential recipients.
With the 2,000 additional samples expected to be received from another drive conducted in the IDF, Ezer Mezion would meet the goal that they set for collecting samples.
This year's campaign focused on three cancer patients - Meirav, Svetlana, and Ofer, who are all waiting bone marrow transplants that could save their lives.
