59-year-old Varda Bokobza, her 28-year-old pregnant daughter Elinor and her 52-year-old sister Leah Katani were killed, and three others were injured in a car accident Thursday night between in Ashkelon.
A father and his two sons were among the injured, and were taken for medical treatment at the city's Barzilai Hospital.
The accident occurred when a shuttle bus and a car collided at the corner of Eli Cohen Street and Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard in the city.
From an initial police investigation it arose that the shuttle bus ran a red light and caused the accident.
Heavy traffic jams were caused as a result of the crash.
