5 hikers evacuated from Judean Desert out of concern for flashfloods

Five hikers were evacuated from the Dragot River on Sunday morning, out of concern for floods in the area surrounding the Dead Sea. The five began their trip on Saturday and had camped out overnight in the Judean desert. Due to heavy rain in the area, they were advised not to continue the trail they had planned to hike, in case of flashfloods. Judean Desert rescue services advised hikers to request permission to hike in the area, due to the danger of flooding.
