In August 2006, Israeli security forces killed 76 Palestinians, 19 of them minors, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Forty of those killed (53 percent) - including 13 minors - did not take part in the hostilities when killed.
During the same period, Palestinians killed one member of the Israeli security forces in the West Bank, the B'Tselem human rights organization reported on Tuesday.
