An Arab Israeli driver was critically wounded overnight Thursday when he was shot in the head by a guard as he tried to enter the West Bank settlement of Dolev, police said.
A passenger was arrested and a third man traveling in the car fled the scene.
The casualty received immediate attention at the scene from IDF medics before being evacuated to a nearby hospital.
The guard was arrested and during his interrogation, he told police that he opened fire because the driver tried to run him over.
