Ayalon said "at the end of the day the Palestinians need the approval of both the UN and the US and one sided proccesses are not in the interests of the US.
"After ten months of a settlement freeze, Israel had to stand by its obligation to its citizens and to the world. We support the peace process but not at the expense of our security interests."
Ayalon also discussed the coalition and did not deny that Kadima may join [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu's government. "Kadima can join the government if it fits in with its guidelines ," he said. "We do not exclude anyone and we do expect anyone to rule out others."
