The complicated surgery in which year-old Agam Ben-Old from Beersheba was transplanted with six organs, appeared on Tuesday to have been successful, when Agam tolerated food administered orally for the first time in her life.
The 12-hour operation was conducted two weeks ago and cost approximately $5 million.
