Barak decides to open Gaza crossings for passage of humanitarian supplies

Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Monday decided to open the crossings to the Gaza Strip and allow through humanitarian supplies, including medicine, food and fuel, throughout the day, The Defense Ministry said in a statement. The decision was made following consultations with various officials, including Barak deputy, Matan Vilna'i, the statement said. The crossings to the Strip have been closed since November 5 due to Palestinian rocket fire at the western negev.
