A police search for a three-year-old Beduin boy from Rahat, missing since Wednesday evening, came to a ghastly end Thursday morning as the toddler's body was found in a dumpster in the southern Negev town. Police were investigating the incident, which was the latest in a string of such occurences in Israel's Beduin community. The Beduin community has recently begun drawing the attention and concern of the Israeli public, particularly regarding the safety of children. Three days ago, a nine-year-old Beduin boy, from a community in the south of Israel, stuck his head out of a moving vehicle and was subsequently killed when a school bus driving in the opposite direction smashed his head. Over the past year, Beduin communities have become aware of several other tragedies, as well, most involving children. In December, a 10-month-old baby drowned in a water bucket outside his home, while a month earlier, a baby girl died after falling off a chair.
