Dichter: We must ensure Gaza 'barrel of explosives' doesn't go off on us

"I will ensure that in Ashkelon we will be able to live quiet, normal lives as well as in Netivot and Ofakim," Public Security Minister and Kadima leadership candidate Avi Dichter said Tuesday, some two hours after a Kassam rocket fired from Gaza landed in the Sha'ar Henegev region.
Speaking at a rally for Kadima's Ashkelon mayoral candidate Itamar Shimoni, Dichter called Gaza a "barrel of explosives," saying that Israel must make sure it "explodes in Gaza and not on us."
