EU 'profoundly disturbed' by civilian casualties at UN school

The EU on Wednesday said that it was deeply concerned by the rising civilian death toll in Operation Cast Lead and called for an immediate permanent cease-fire.
The Czech Republic, which holds the EU presidency, said the 27-nation bloc is "profoundly disturbed by the loss of civilian life at a school in Jabaliya."
