Palestinian gunmen opened fire at IDF troops on the Gaza border Thursday morning, near the Karni cargo crossing.
There were no casualties.
Soldiers returned fire at the gunmen, but apparently did not hit them.
On Monday, gunmen staged a failed border assault at Karni under cover of mortar fire.
At least four of some ten terrorists and a number of horses laden with explosives were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire with the IDF. No soldiers were wounded.
Security sources said at the time that a large terrorist attack had been thwarted.
