The Palestinians respect the Israeli election results and want the new government to advance the peace process, the secretary-general of the Fatah movement in the West Bank, Hussein a-Sheikh, said Sunday.
Speaking to Israel Radio, Sheikh criticized the economic peace process proposed by Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu as an attempt to diminish the essence of the Palestinian problem, which the Fatah secretary-general said was the occupation.
