The Finance Ministry will transfer NIS 150 million to the Education Ministry and some 900 state-employed teachers will be able to retire willfully, according to a deal reached between Education Minister Yuli Tamir and Finance Minister Avraham Hirschson earlier this week.
According to an Education Ministry official, the money will be used for scholarships for under privileged students, special education, renovations, sick children, youth groups, and national service.
