Hanegni: IDF should take control of strategic positions on Gaza

"Israel must make a strategic decision and instruct the IDF to take control of the areas in Gaza from where rockets are fired, and be prepared for holding on to the area for several years," Foreign Affrairs and Defense Committee Chairman Tzahi Hanegbi (Kadima) said Friday.
Hanegbi told Israel Radio that Israel should stop believing that "the Iranian kingdom of terror that has risen on our southern border will disappear of its own accord."
He went on to say that stopping the rocket fire would not be achieved "by carrying out isolated operations, but by means of a declaration of war, since a war has been declared against us."
