The Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed five new cases of swine flu in Israel.
Three of those who contracted the virus recently returned from the US and are believed to have been infected there, while the others caught it in Israel.
One of the newly infected Israelis has already been released from hospital.
In addition, the ministry called on passengers from Continental flight number 084 that landed in Israel from New York on Saturday to see a doctor should they develop symptoms of the virus.
Until now, there have been 39 swine flu cases in Israel.
