High Court blocks Simhon from JNF post temporarily
Court rules that current chairman Effi Stenzler can keep his post until court ruling expected next month.

The High Court of Justice ruled on Wednesday that Jewish National Fund/Keren Kayemet LeYisrael chairman Effi Stenzler can keep his post at least until a district court ruling that is expected next month.Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon, who was elected to succeed Stenzler by the Reform/Labor Meretz faction in the Zionist Congress, had asked the High Court to cancel an injunction that prevents Simhon from taking office.The court rejected the request, which will prevent Simhon from getting elected by the JNF’s governing council when it convenes later this month.
