'Hizbullah official says Israel trying to cause talks to fail'

Israel is attempting to cause negotiations with Hizbullah to fail by dragging its feet and delaying its answers to the organization's demands, a senior Hizbullah official was quoted by United Arab Emirates paper Al Ittihad as saying Saturday. The official denied reports that Israel and Hizbullah have already signed an agreement to free captive IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. "All contact is being handled by the German mediator, who has not notified the organization of such an agreement." He added that Israel's deliberations on whether to declare the two soldiers as KIA was an internal Israeli matter that had nothing to do with Hizbullah.
