Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) put an unmanned helicopter, as well as laser-guided missiles and advanced sea surveillance equipment on display Tuesday at the International Maritime Defense Exhibition (IMDEX) in Singapore.
Over 140 leading international defense firms from over 20 countries are displaying their wares at IMDEX, which is held every two years.
One of the features at the IAI stand is a model of an unmanned helicopter currently under development by the Israeli government-owned company together with an unnamed international partner.
The helicopter will be capable of long-range missions and real-time, high-quality intelligence gathering. It will be able to take off and land on missile boats and operate in inclement weather.
IAI is also showing a model of its Barak 8, which can defend ships against aircraft and enemy missiles. The company is already manufacturing the missile defense system for the Indian Navy as part of a $1.5 billion deal, one of the largest defense contracts in Israeli history.
